Holiday Extravaganza 2019

Save the date of Saturday, November 23rd from 10AM to 3 PM  for the

Hampton Band Holiday Extravaganza

Mark your calendars for the 8th Annual Hampton Band's Holiday Extravaganza!  The event benefits the bands at the elementary, middle, and high schools.

Be sure to invite your friends and family to an event that offers something for everyone.  Music will be provided throughout the day by students from the 5'th Grade Elementary Band, the 8'th grade Middle School Band, and the High School Wind Ensemble. 
 
We will be seeking volunteers to bake cookies as well as vendors for our Extravaganza which features a variety of vendors offering new and/or home-made items.  HBA will offer a special rate for HBA members to purchase a vendor table at the Holiday Market.

 

We will also need many volunteer "elves" to help on Friday evening for set-up and at various times during the day on Saturday. This is a great way for your student to earn community service hours. A Sign-Up Genius link will be circulated closer to the event date.

 

The Event Features:
 

  • Holiday Market-  Find something for everyone on your list (and yourself), with over 100 vendors offering a large variety of items. (Note: Some vendors are cash-only.) Shop from 10 am - 3 pm. Vendor details and registration information is available from Lisa Maier.  A current list of vendors can be found here.

  • Amish Donuts!!  Those wonderful Amish donuts will be available at the sale! 

 

  • Santa & Kids’ Activities-  Bring the children to meet the jolly old elf and be ready for a great photo opportunity!   Let us help entertain the little ones with a special “make your own” sundae area, holiday crafts they can make and take home. Tickets must be purchased for these activities and space is limited.  Advance tickets will be on sale soon! 

 

  • Band Dads' Cafe- Stop by for a quick bite to eat or a beverage from some of our favorite dads. A link to sign up to work at the Cafe is HERE, or to donate supplies to the Cafe is HERE!

 

  • Cookie Walk- If you are interested in baking cookies, please sign up! Purchase homemade cookies by the pound from 10 AM until the cookies are gone! Last year's Cookie Walk featured over 6000 cookies, with more than 50 varieties.  This is a great chance to purchase a special holiday treat for your family and friends!!  Any questions, please contact Lisa Wagner.

 

  • Raffles- Don't forget to take a chance on our Basket Raffle, Cookie Raffle and our 50/50. We will be holding a Basket Raffle at the Holiday Extravaganza which will include donations from area businesses and vendors. Please consider donating an item, or sponsor a whole basket for the raffle.

 

  • Program with Ads-  There will be a Holiday Extravaganza Program that will include ads, a vendor list and map, all 3 band performance times, Sundaes and Santa, the cookie walk, and a page with some thank-you's as well.

We still need help to make our biggest fundraiser a success.  This includes:

  • Decorating

  • Preparing raffle baskets

  • Set up and tear down (we set up on Friday, November 22nd at 2:45PM and tear down immediately after the event)

  • Band snack preparer (help feed our student performers after they play Christmas music)

  • Cookies donations (We need LOTS of cookies for our famous cookie walk!)  

  • Selling ice cream tickets 

  • Working at, or providing donations for The Band Dads Cafe

  • And Much More!

 

The last planning meeting is scheduled for 11/20/19  (cafeteria)
